The Woodson African American Museum of Florida Launches 2026 Woodson Warriors Scholarship Application Cycle

St. Petersburg, Fla. — The Woodson African American Museum of Florida, under the leadership of Executive Director Terri Lipsey Scott, is proud to announce the launch of the 2026 Woodson Warriors Scholarship application cycle, inviting eligible St. Petersburg students to apply for this prestigious opportunity.

The Woodson Warriors Scholarship supports college-bound scholars who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, character, and a commitment to community. Selected students can receive four-year renewable awards of up to $5,000 annually.

Rooted in the legacy of Dr. Carter G. Woodson, this scholarship is more than a financial award,  it is a unique opportunity for local students to become part of an elite legacy and Woodson Warrior Scholars family committed to excellence, service, and long-term success.

“When we invest in our young people, we invest in the future strength, leadership, and promise of our entire community,” said Justin R. Miller, Program Leader for the Woodson Warriors Scholarships Fund. “The Woodson Warriors Scholarship is more than a financial award; it is a transformational pathway that connects deserving scholars to a distinguished legacy, a supportive extended family, and a lifelong standard of excellence, service, and impact.”

The scholarship is open to eligible St. Petersburg residents enrolled in a Pinellas County high school who plan to attend college or university.
