Nature of Work
Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is seeking to fill a vacancy of Safe Harbor Technician.
This position is scheduled for 8 hours, 5 days a week, with 2 consecutive days off. There are three shifts as follows:
1st Shift 7:00am-3:30pm
2nd Shift 3:15am-11:45pm
3rd Shift 11:30pm-8:00am
The background investigation process may take up to 6 weeks depending upon the complexity of the applicant’s background and position for which they’ve applied.
Under the general direction of a Sergeant, this position performs duties of a responsible nature related to the operation of Pinellas Safe Harbor shelter for the homeless and inmates reentering the community from the jail. Members work directly with Safe Harbor residents. Work is performed in accordance with Sheriff’s Office rules, regulations, and policies and procedures and are expected to work independently. Work is reviewed through observation and results obtained.
