On Wednesday, March 3rd at 5 pm, One Community will host a Zoom Dialogue for entrepreneurs with guest speaker Mr. Oscar Horton, President & CEO of Sun State International, which is ranked by Black Enterprise as the 28th largest black-owned business in the United States.
The company is a full-service commercial transportation organization headquartered in Tampa, with 5 locations in West Central Florida, handling truck sales, an aftermarket facility, a trailer rental and leasing company, and IC Buses (with annual revenues of over $150 million).
Mr. Horton will speak about the keys to his success in growing Sun State International’s revenue by 467% since the year 2000, through an award-winning focus on excellence. Sun State is the 2020 American Truck Dealers Dealer of the Year and the company has garnered over a dozen industry honors over the past decade.
Mr. Horton will also speak on the importance of economic and philanthropic leadership for personal and community growth. He currently serves on the boards of The Bank of Tampa, the University of South Florida, Community Foundation of Tampa Bay and is the former Chairperson of Academy Prep Center of Tampa Bay as well as a past Jacksonville Branch Director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
The March 3rd Zoom session will include a live Q&A session for registered attendees.
