Florida Health 2018 Back To School Events

Free vision screening and, for clients who qualify, assistance will be provided for glasses and exam byPreserve Vision Florida on select dates (from 6/5 to 7/24).

Basic dental services to include oral health assessments, oral hygiene instructions, dental sealants, uoridetreatments and referral to a dental home, if needed, at no cost (from 6/5 to 7/24). Medicaid accepted.

Services provided only to students in grades K-12 (not Pre-K).
Parents must bring the child’s immunization record and be present for services. If the parent is not present, a verbal consent must be obtained prior to receiving services. Services provided at the following locations:

PINELLAS PARK HIGH SCHOOL CLINIC – 6305 118th Ave N. in Largo Monday-Thursday from 6/5 to 6/29 and 7/24 to 8/8 (except 7/26) from 8:00 AM to 2:45 PM. (Come to the front entrance of the school and the clinic is to the left with a separate entrance.)

NORTHEAST HIGH SCHOOL CLINIC – 5500 16th St. N. in St. Petersburg Monday-Thursday from 6/5 to 6/29 and 7/24 to 8/8 from 8:00 AM to 2:45 PM.
(After entering front entrance, go almost to the end of the parking lot and the clinic is on your right.)

GIBBS HIGH SCHOOL CLINIC – 850 34th St. S. in St. Petersburg
Monday-Thursday from 7/9 to 8/8 from 8:00 AM to 2:45 PM. (Come through the main entrance, make a rightand make the rst left; the clinic is on your left with a separate entrance.)

BOCA CIEGA HIGH SCHOOL CLINIC – 924 58th St. S. in Gulfport
Monday-Thursday from 7/24 to 8/8 from 8:00 AM to 2:45 PM. (Park at the main entrance, enter through front doors. At the front desk, tell them you have an appointment at the clinic.)

How to Apply for BeyGOOD Foundation Homecoming Scholars Award

The BeyGOOD Foundation Homecoming Scholars Award is a merit-based scholarship open to all incoming, accepted and returning undergraduate and graduate students at Bethune-Cookman University 

In order to be eligible for the $25,000 scholarship award, students must have a 3.5 GPA or above and present proof of work in their field of study such as essays, past assignments or portfolios. Incoming students must provide school assignments that demonstrate interest in their desired field. Writing samples need not be published works. Applications are accepted between May 1 – May 31, 2018.
