Congratulations to Sergeant Marlin Heyward on his retirement!

This famed FAMU bass drummer joined the police department on Dec. 27, 1994, and was sworn in as a police officer six months later – on June 19, 1995. Throughout his career, Sgt. Heyward demonstrated professionalism, dedication, and leadership that defined his service to the community. He received more than 100 letters of commendation from residents and supervisors alike.
