First Opportunity for Belle of the Ball Free Prom Dresses is Saturday March 25

Saturday March 25 is the first opportunity for girls to get a prom dress and accessories for the 2017 prom season. Belle of the Ball Project will provide dresses and accessories to in-need high school girls on Saturday March 25, 2017, from 10am to 2pm, at 1210 Holt Avenue, Clearwater. Other spring 2017 dates are (all Saturdays)   April 8 and 22, and May 6. Dresses are available to all in-need, high school girls  for their high school dances (prom, homecoming, military ball ). We respect the honor system. No referral letter is necessary. No appointment needed. A $1 to $5 donation is requested but not required. Dresses are for high school dances only!! Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe announces auditions for 2017-2018 season

SARASOTA, FL – On Saturday, March 25 and Sunday, March 26, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe will hold auditions for its 2017-2018 season. Auditions will take place at the WBTT Binz Building (1012 N. Orange Ave., Sarasota), which is adjacent to its theater building. Actors are asked to prepare two contrasting monologues, one comedic and one dramatic, of three minutes or less. Singers are asked to be ready with 16 bars of one song, up-tempo or ballad, and one monologue, comedic or dramatic, of three minutes or less. Red Cross Life Guard & Water Safety Training

ST. PETERSBURG, FL (March 9, 2017) - The three-week lifeguard training course will be held at Walter Fuller Pool, 7883 26th Ave. N., on Saturdays and Sundays starting on Saturday, March 18, and ending on Saturday, April 1from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Come prepared to swim at every class, including the first day. This blended course requires participants to complete assignments online before attending class. Class books can be downloaded or purchased through the American Red Cross website. SeaWorld Orlando Offers $5,000 Scholarship to Florida Students

(ORLANDO, Fla.) February 21, 2017 - SeaWorld Orlando’s Environmental Scholarship Program is now accepting applications from Florida high school seniors who share the organization’s passion for protecting and preserving the natural world. If selected, students will receive a one-time award of $5,000 to use at any college or university they plan to attend. As a part of their application, students must have at least a 3.0 GPA and create a short video that demonstrates their commitment to conservation or environmental issues.
