Youth Employment Opp: Grounds Maintenance Intern - Citywide Tampa
An employee in this class is responsible for performing general grounds maintenance tasks consisting of litter abatement, and the rights of way maintenance such as mowing, edging, trimming and other basic landscaping. On-the-job training will be provided for the usage of a variety of hand tools including shovels, hoes, rakes and wheelbarrows. 2013 Dreams of Jobs and Freedom Scholarship
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., delivered his “I Have a Dream” speech, the AFL-CIO and Union Plus are offering scholarships to help graduating high school seniors realize their dreams of a college education.

Connie Passmore Scholarship Opportunity
The Connie Passmore Scholarship was established by the St. Petersburg chapter of Business & Professional Women (BPW) to honor one of its long-time members. Mrs. Passmore, who was a Florida Progress [Progress Energy] employee, devoted many hours and much effort to advance the ideals and causes of BPW. She served as President of this local organization as well as holding several regional and state positions. Her special interest was the Equal Rights Amendment and she carried on a vigorous campaign in support of its passage.
