Rene Flowers promoted to Talent Manager for Gulf Coast

March 9, 2017 -

On March 1st, Pinellas County School Board Member and community leader Rene Flowers was promoted to the newly created Talent Manager position at Gulf Coast Jewish Family & Community Services, Inc. The job was created to meet “the critical need to address agency turnover,” according to Gulf Coast’s CEO Sandra Braham, in an email announcement in early February. Central to addressing turnover is ensuring we recruit the right people to fill vacancies suited to their talents, skills and passions.”  Flowers will lead recruitment and training efforts, emphasizing agency succession planning. She will also coordinate training for our child welfare programs, as needed. Flowers previously served as Quality Improvement Manager and Corporate Trainer for Gulf Coast. A native of St. Petersburg, Flowers is extensively involved in the community. The former 8-year City Councilmember and current 4-year School Board Member, is a past President of the Florida League of Cities. She is is an active participant on several local and statewide boards to include the NAACP, Southern Christian Leadership Council (SCLC), the National Council of Negro Women, R'Club, The Louise Graham Center and the Pinellas Community Foundation.
