PCS understands WAS is not an organization seeking funding etc., but our mission is to "step out of the box" to support partnering agencies & organizations committed to making a positive difference in our community; and one way to achieve this is to help the families of our students through a holistic approach that would hopefully relieve many common barriers that prevent families from actively participating in their child's education. 19th Annual Keep Manatee Beautiful Golf Tournament

Keep Manatee Beautiful is gearing up for its primary fundraiser of the year—its 19th annual golf tournament scheduled for May 24 at the Tara Golf & Country Club. Entry fees for this four-person, best-ball scramble include greens fee, cart, range balls, team photo, goody bag, lunch buffet and an awards presentation. Contests include Low Gross and Runner-Up, Low Net and Runner-Up, Closest to the Pin/Longest Drive Men’s and Women’s, Putting Contest, Dice Roll, and Raffle.
The four-person best-ball scramble will begin with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Registration costs vary.
A hole sponsorship of $600 includes one foursome fee, name on event banner, tee and green signage, greens fee, cart, range balls and goodie bags. A foursome without sponsor signage costs $320. Sponsor signage can be purchased for $250 if unable to play. Click here for registration information.

The Ladies of the Purple Passion Inc. are focused on helping the "Youth of the Community". They have partnered with the Computer Mentor Group Inc. to lend assistance to the STEM Corps High School Program. The program targets youth between the ages of 14 and 18 years of age. These youth are proving themselves as productive citizens by performing technology work for other non-profit organizations, while being mentored to do so, as a method of learning a profession. Computer Mentors Group has a MATCH GRANT of $15,000 which must be met by May 31, 2013 and the Ladies of Purple Passion have dedicated their efforts to assist CMG to make the match. New Windows 8 laptop computer will be among the door prizes included in the price of the ticket. BYOB & BYOF with free setups provided.
